Bonding
Bonding applies an enamel-like composite to the tooth, sculpts it to an ideal shape, hardens it, and polishes it — typically completed in one visit.

About this treatment
Bonding is a process in which an enamel-like material is applied to a tooth's surface, sculpted to the ideal shape, hardened with a curing light, and then polished. It is often used to close small gaps, repair chipped or slightly decayed teeth, or change the colour of a tooth — and is almost always completed in a single appointment.
Composite resin can also serve as a tooth-coloured filling for small cavities and to repair broken or chipped surfaces. Because bonding is more susceptible to staining and chipping than veneers or crowns, it is best suited to smaller cosmetic corrections where minimal preparation is needed.
What to expect
Every visit is built around your comfort. Here's the typical journey:
- 1
Shade match
We select a composite shade that blends with your natural tooth.
- 2
Surface preparation
The tooth is lightly conditioned so the resin bonds securely.
- 3
Sculpting
Putty-like resin is applied and shaped to correct the chip, gap, or flaw.
- 4
Curing & polishing
A curing light sets the resin, which is then polished to a natural shine.
Is it right for you?
Bonding may be a great fit if any of these apply:
- Small chips, cracks, or worn edges on front teeth
- Closing minor gaps between teeth
- Small areas of discolouration that don't respond to whitening
- A fast, affordable, minimally invasive cosmetic fix
