About this treatment
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) combines a digital intraoral scanner with an in-office milling unit. After a quick scan of the prepared tooth, software designs a precise restoration that is milled from a solid block of dental-grade ceramic right in the practice.
The whole process — scan, design, mill, and bond — typically takes about two hours, replacing what once required two appointments and weeks of waiting for a lab. The result is a strong, metal-free, tooth-coloured crown that is shaded to match the rest of your smile.
